Oh yeah! The closest you will ever get to flying a jet plane in the tool industry! Hold on to the x-wing fighter controls a cool, powerful motor which drives router cutters through the hardest of wood. Apart from being strong, stable and all round accurate this machine is a real asset, clearly not designed for small intricate routering but the big stuff it loves and asks for more. Fence and track are both used well in conjunction with this machine and its fine adjustment controls add much needed accuracy. The only one down side to this machine is the dust extraction! No matter what the Festool Rep sais you just cant get it to clear dust completely when the cutter has one exposed edge, the facts are that its powerful and removes a lot of material so you have to expect some dust. On the bigger jobs we get an extra dust extractor to collect the dust from source. Having said that! If you router a v-groove through the middle of the board with correct extraction and guards there is not a spec of dust and it collects it all!
