150mm wide 3mm orbit sander.This is a great tool for large area finishing, recommended to us by the Festool rep he explained the difference between a 3mm and 5mm version of this orbit sander, the 3 mm quite simply has less of an orbit/revolution of the pad so it doesn’t give wider deeper scratches, used with brilliant 2 pads and working down through the grits this can give a perfect clean finish with no visible oscillation scratches that you often see when looking up close. It’s also perfectly balanced for weight which reduces the amount of fatigue on your arms. The dust extraction used with Festool dust extractors is perfect without out any dust rising from the pad. Any one serious about finishing to a high standard must have this in their workshop.
