With many jig saws on the market why would we choose Festool for our workshop? The 18 volt battery is brilliant on this, lasts a long time and in conjunction with the Carvex blades it cries out for more and more hard work while keeping a clean 90 degree cut. The battery just stops on you when it’s had enough ending in a beep to signify a change to the next stopping you from putting unless army strain on the battery and motor. The blade change is just super sweet, effortless and quick and the cool strobe light which is switchable on and off lights up you pencil line making it so much easier to follow. We have used many styles of jigsaw over the years but we find the European style head gives us maximum control and less fatigue than the handle style jigsaws. Many people use jigsaws with no extraction but we recommend you do this as it makes a huge difference to visible lines and a more accurate clean cut. A must have in any serious workshop.
